Dynamics: Energy and Power of a Particle


When a force is used to move a particle a certain amount of work or energy is required to move that particle a certain distance. In other words to calculate the energy that was expended in moving a particle, energy would be a function of force times distance. Refer to equation one.

There are two types of energy that need to be considered when dealing with motion. Those are potential energy and kinetic energy.
