Conservation of Energy

From the laws of thermodynamics energy cannot be created or destroyed. This in turn would result in the potential energy of a rigid body equaling the kinetic energy of a rigid body, if there is no loss of energy due to heat, friction, or drag. Refer to equation 6 to view the conservation of energy equation.
